The Newton-Evans Research Company has announced the publication of a study: Innovation in the Electric Power Industry Processes and Best Practices in mid-2018. The study was initially developed by Paul Leufkens, CEO of Power Projects Leufkens, based on a presentation on innovation in the electric power industry he delivered at an industry conference earlier this year.
The joint study undertaken by Power Projects Leufkens and Newton-Evans is unique in its focus on insights on product/service innovation as it relates to companies serving the modern electric power industry. While the majority of the 55 survey participants are from North American organizations, there is some representation from international companies as well.
The participants in this study are from product planning and research units of large and very large manufacturers (35 participants), along with R&D officials from five major North American utilities and 15 officials from engineering consultancies and equipment testing organizations.
In response to one of the survey questions, sixty-two percent of the respondents indicated that they tend to innovate incrementally over a long period of time. Twenty percent indicated that they innovate incrementally, but also sometimes have major breakthroughs in innovation in a shorter amount of time.
The findings for each question are cross-tabulated based on type and size of the responding organization. This 40-page report costs $495.00.
